A savvy marketer knows that a solid online marketing plan won’t be successful without the use of videos. As you know, videos retain in the minds of potential customers more than text or photos. Of course, it’s never enough to just make a video and post it online. You have to make the right one that will go viral to get to as many potential customers as possible. And for your video to hit it big, it must contain information that will help a lot of people. Of course, it has to be relevant to your business. It doesn’t make sense for you to make a jewelry beading video tutorial if you own a gardening business. You also have to be careful. You don’t want to put in too much information in the video to the point that it will be too boring to watch.
Reason # 3 – Lack of entertainment
There are billions of online videos today. How can you make sure that your video will get watched? One way to do that is to ensure that your video is entertaining enough. It should be unique, creative, funny, thrilling, or even shocking. This way, you can be sure that you will capture the interest of your potential customers, and get them engaged enough to share the video with everyone they know.
Reason # 4 – Weak social media sharing tactics
Take advantage of the power of social media! Once you’ve made a video that’s both informative and highly-entertaining, post it online on a prominent video sharing site like YouTube and share the link across ALL your social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. Remember, a video won’t go viral if people can’t find it. And if your video is good enough, people just won’t click on it and watch it, they’ll also share it, post it on their walls, and send links to their friends and contacts. Before you know it, your video has one million views!
